Candidates can only accept personal donations from Ontario residents. The City of Markham offers a rebate program for Markham voters or permanent residents living in Markham. Donors can receive a 75% rebate up to $150. The maximum contribution allowed is $1,200. The minimum contribution to qualify for a rebate is $50. I would appreciate any contribution no matter the amount. Your support means a lot to me!

  • Corporations, trade unions, businesses, groups and non-Ontario residents can't donate to candidates.

  • Rebates are issued after the election is over and the City of Markham completes an audit of the campaign statements

  • Please ensure you abide by the maximum contribution rules that the City of Markham has in place

  • You can only donate up to $1200 to an individual candidate

  • You can only donate up to $5,000 total to candidates running for Markham City Council
